Thank you for your interest in the role of Chair at South West Yorkshire Partnership Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. This is an important and exciting moment for our organisation, and we are delighted that you are considering joining us.
Our Trust has strong foundations, a clear strategic direction, and a deep commitment to improving the lives of the people and communities we serve. We provide a broad range of mental health, learning disability, community and secure services across Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees and Wakefield. We also provide low and medium secure services to the whole of Yorkshire. Our critical services are, delivered by a 4,700 strong, dedicated workforce and strengthened through our valued partnerships across health and care in both the West Yorkshire and South Yorkshire integrated care systems.
As we look ahead, we are seeking a Chair who will lead our board and Members’ Council as we build further on our achievements. As Chair you will champion our values and continue fostering a culture where our people feel supported, engaged, and empowered to deliver high‑quality, compassionate care to meet the needs of our diverse communities. Bringing a track record of successful board-level leadership, in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, this is a significant opportunity to influence the future development of our Trust and support our continued commitment to helping people reach their potential and live well in their community.
